When/Where is it? This is a 4 week course which will run on Fridays 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th September 2025 from 10:30 - 13:30 at K&B Sewing Machines in Romsey.

K&B has a designated workshop space where we will work together each week. You will need to bring your machine to each class with you.

Is it right for me? This is Beginner Level machine sewing course and is suitable for those who have not sewn before or have very limited machine sewing experience. We will begin from the basics. This course will be the perfect opportunity for you to work with other beginner sewists in friendly and supportive environment to build confidence.

What will we do?

Getting to know your machine

Stitch selection

Project: Make a stitch sampler

Week 2

All about seams

Project: Notebook Cover

Week 3

Intro to Feet, Patterns & Fabric

Project: Make pattern weights

Week 4

Basic machine maintenance

Final project: Box pouch for your notions

What do I need to bring?

• Fully functioning sewing machine

• 2/3 colours of good quality thread

• Bobbins

• A pair of good quality fabric scissors

• A pair of small scissors or 'snips'

• A can-do attitude!

What will be provided?

• Full tuition

• Materials for each week's project

• A small sewing related 'gift' each week to help with your project and build up your tools.

How much does it cost?

The total cost of the 4 week course is £160

£25 non-refundable deposit is paid on booking and the remainder of the course fee is due before the course begins.
