Are you interested in making a garment without having any awkward leftover pieces of fabric? Zero Waste patterns are designed strategically to use every bit of a length of fabric.
Try the Zero Waste Cropped Shirt by Birgitte Helmersson in this one-day session with zero waste fanatic Jenny. It uses no more than one metre of fabric and available in UK sizes 8 - 24.
Jenny will guide you through the trickier steps (including the maths) so you can leave with a completed garment by the end of the session.
The cropped shirt has a boxy feel, with 3 buttons, with lots of ways you could hack the pattern to make it your own. Jenny will provide fabric requirements when you sign up so you can choose your own fabric and buttons to bring along for the workshop. Perhaps you have some beautiful vintage fabric that is a tablecloth or old duvet cover?
Students will receive PDF and paper copies of the instructions on the day.
