In this workshop you will experiment and make samples with two different kinds of soluble fabric before creating either a bowl or cylindrical vessel (this is bottomless to allow it to slip over a glass or vase to turn it into a vase or battery light holder)
The vessel can be stitched using standard machine stitching or free motion embroidery.
Included in the workshop:
Two types of soluble fabric, enough for samples and the project
A selection of fabrics , ribbons , lace etc for decoration
Plastic mould for shaping the chosen vessel (mould will be kept and taken home).
Cling film for covering the mould
Students need to bring
Sewing machine and manual
Free motion darning foot for your sewing machine
Selection of sewing machine threads (any brand or type). A dark thread is useful for the samples. Variegated threads work well. Bobbin thread should match top threads.

A tin or jar to balance the mould on (unless you intend to rinse the project at home. (See the photo of the set up.)
